Friends of the San Anselmo Library Fund
To foster literacy by funding a library system accessible to all.

To help support a thriving, inspiring and sustainable library system, the Friends of the San Anselmo Library (FOSAL) funds library programs and collections, operates a community bookstore called Town Books, manages an online book sales business, and hosts community-building events featuring local artists. We donate 100% of our net proceeds, including support for:

* Bestselling author talks.
* A Library Teaching Garden.
* Instruments and toys for children's story times.
* Summer reading for all ages.
* Art Talk Tuesdays.
* Craft supplies, and much more!

Your donation to our Marin Community Foundation (MCF) fund is tax-deductible and supports our public library and its valuable community programs.

We encourage you to make a financial donation via MCF, and to visit Town Books, our used bookstore, for your next great read. Run by volunteers, Town Books is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. We gladly accept donations of gently used books and CDs. A hidden gem, Town Books is across from Wells Fargo on San Anselmo Avenue - look for "The Courtyard" awning and follow the tile walkway to the entrance.

Should you choose to support this organization or project, your contribution will be made to Marin Community Foundation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation that is a tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).

Contributions made via the Donation Center are distributed by MCF to the donor’s intended recipient. In the case of MCF pooled funds, where donations are collected into a single fund and then granted to multiple organizations, MCF receives your donation and distributes the total collected funds to the grantees for that fund. Your contribution may take up to 45 days to be received by MCF and sent to the intended recipient organization. No fees are assessed on any specific donation to or from a fund. The full amount of your contribution to MCF constitutes a charitable contribution that may be tax deductible. Donors should consult their personal tax advisors for any questions regarding tax deductibility based on their personal tax situation.

In some instances, for reasons outside of MCF’s control, a contribution may not reach the intended recipient. This may be due to the intended recipient’s loss of federal or state tax-exempt status or other reasons. In such a case, MCF will select another recipient organization based on its sole discretion.

If you choose to support an organization by visiting their website to donate directly to the organization, Marin Community Foundation does not accept or hold any donation or receive fees from any donation made directly to another organization.
