Jane Fonda Climate Solutions Fund
***

Jane Fonda created the Jane Fonda Climate Solutions Fund at the Marin Community Foundation to support organizations and campaigns on the frontline of combating the climate crisis and advancing scientifically sound and socially just solutions.

In Jane’s words:

“In order to learn about the climate crisis, I have traveled to the frontlines of climate impacts, meeting with indigenous communities resisting oil pipelines that threaten their water supply; Black communities living in the petrochemical corridor in the Gulf; Colorado and California communities fighting oil drilling in their backyards. I’ve met doctors and nurses treating communities impacted by fossil fuel pollution and union members working to ensure workers are part of the solution. I’ve met people engaging in the research, cultural and policy work needed to build a movement to transition off fossil fuels to clean renewable energy. Meeting all these people has given me hope and convinced me that change is possible. It has also inspired me to commit myself to this fight for the rest of my life.

I often meet organizations doing excellent work, for whom small grants can make a big difference. The Jane Fonda Climate Solutions Fund will identify and support high impact organizations and campaigns working for a better future. I invite you to be a part of it!”

Should you choose to support this organization or project, your contribution will be made to Marin Community Foundation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation that is a tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).

Contributions made via the Donation Center are distributed by MCF to the donor’s intended recipient. In the case of MCF pooled funds, where donations are collected into a single fund and then granted to multiple organizations, MCF receives your donation and distributes the total collected funds to the grantees for that fund. Your contribution may take up to 45 days to be received by MCF and sent to the intended recipient organization. No fees are assessed on any specific donation to or from a fund. The full amount of your contribution to MCF constitutes a charitable contribution that may be tax deductible. Donors should consult their personal tax advisors for any questions regarding tax deductibility based on their personal tax situation.

In some instances, for reasons outside of MCF’s control, a contribution may not reach the intended recipient. This may be due to the intended recipient’s loss of federal or state tax-exempt status or other reasons. In such a case, MCF will select another recipient organization based on its sole discretion.

If you choose to support an organization by visiting their website to donate directly to the organization, Marin Community Foundation does not accept or hold any donation or receive fees from any donation made directly to another organization.
